Dental Implants
The second permanent teeth.
Dental implants have given us the opportunity to replace missing or lost teeth with a fixed, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing alternative.
Dental implant therapy is considered now to be the gold standard for replacing missing teeth. Dental implants are a safe and predictable option with a success rate of over 98% if carried out appropriately on suitable candidates. Not everyone is suitable for implant therapy though. Our dentists will therefore carry out a thorough, detailed and free assessment of our patients prior to proposing such treatment.
Dental Veeners
Veneers are a relatively simple way to cosmetically enhance your smile.
Veneers are usually made from porcelain or composite filling material.
They are wafer thin, and are placed over your teeth to improve their
appearance.
Our dentists work closely with our experienced lab technicians to create
a veneer that is a perfect colour and shape for your teeth. An impression
of the tooth must be made and molds are prepared. Because veneers
require a small amount of enamel to be removed, they are permanent
and non-reversible.
Dental Crowns
Crowns are synthetic caps, usually made of a material like porcelain, placed on the top of a tooth.
Crowns are typically used to restore a tooth’s function and appearance following a restorative procedure such as a root canal. When decay in a tooth has become so advanced that large portions of the tooth must be removed, crowns are often used to restore the tooth
Dental Bridges
Bridges are natural-looking dental appliances that can replace a section of missing teeth. Because they are custom-made, bridges are barely noticeable and can restore the natural contour of teeth as well as the proper bite relationship between upper and lower teeth. Bridges are sometimes referred to as fixed partial dentures, because they are semi-permanent and are bonded to existing teeth or implants.
